STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
This action supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of Respected and Responsible, as approval of this acquisition will bring this portion of 3rd Street into the City’s jurisdiction and provide continuity of resources and services.
REPORT:
The Yuma County Board of Supervisors has approved dedication of right-of-way from the eastern limits of Su Casa Gardens Subdivision to Avenue B and provided a Quit Claim Deed to the City of Yuma. The deed has been executed by the Yuma County Board of Supervisors. A legal description and Exhibit “A” showing the right-of-way has been provided by the Yuma County Department of Engineering and is attached to the deed.
The Yuma City Charter requires City Council approval of an ordinance to acquire, sell, lease, or dispose of real property. The proposed ordinance allows City acceptance and recording of the deeded right of way.
