STRATEGIC OUTCOME:

This item supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of Respected and Responsible by funding essential flooring maintenance and repairs that protect public assets and keep City facilities safe, accessible, and fully operational.

REPORT:

The Facilities Management Department  performs routine repairs and full replacements of carpet, carpet tile, and vinyl tile at City-owned facilities. A supply of materials is kept on hand to support timely in-house repairs. When external installation, removal, or repair services are required, the Department will utilize Continental Flooring Company.

Utilizing this agreement provides competitive pricing and cost savings through volume purchasing while reducing administrative overhead by eliminating the need to repeatedly bid the same commodity.
