STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
This item supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of Respected and Responsible as well as Safe and Prosperous by making the necessary repairs and replacements to the Yuma Civic Center concrete terrace patio to provide a safe concrete surface, sidewalk access, and a new ADA sidewalk ramp for public users.
REPORT:
On February 16, 2022, City Council awarded the Request for Qualification (RFQ) to five licensed contractors for Asphalt and Concrete Maintenance Services for various repairs related to any asphalt road repairs, road maintenance and concrete sidewalks throughout the City. All projects that exceeded $100,000.00 will be presented to City Council for approval.
A request for bid was sent to the five qualified vendors with the scope of work to remove and replace existing concrete at the Yuma Civic Center Terrace Patio. The aging concrete pad at the terrace serves as an outdoor banquet venue for weddings and various family events.
The City received one response from the five pre-qualified vendors.
The project is to be completed by June 2025.
