SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Summary Recommendation

Authorize the purchase of an EzLiner roadway line-striper by utilizing a cooperative purchase agreement from Sourcewell, for an expenditure of $343,965.00 to Western Territory Sales, Phoenix, Arizona.  (Public Works-CPA-25-249) (Joel Olea-Robin R. Wilson)

STRATEGIC OUTCOME:

This purchase supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of Safe and Prosperous by providing continued capability for necessary street striping within the City.

 

REPORT:

The unit being replaced is a 2009-year model, which has exceeded the 15-year life expectancy. The new striper has the ability to provide airless and air-spray technology and the ability to hold up to 240 gallons of paint.

The existing unit will be relinquished to surplus and sold on-line through Public Surplus. Funds are included in the FY25 Equipment Replacement Fund for the replacement of the striper.

The expected lead time for the delivery of the unit will be six months.
