STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
The maintenance and repair of overhead door and automated gate systems will enhance public safety, secure access, and the operational readiness of City facilities, aligning with the City Council strategic outcomes of Safe and Prosperous and Active and Appealing by maintaining secure, functional, and well-maintained public infrastructure, protecting City assets, and supporting efficient delivery of municipal services across the community.
REPORT:
This contract will support the City’s ongoing need for maintenance, repair, and installation services for overhead doors and automated gate systems at City facilities. These services are essential for protecting public safety, securing City buildings and assets, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring operational readiness, particularly at public safety and utility locations.
In accordance with applicable codes and industry standards, the City requires a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations. To obtain firm pricing for both typical work and as-needed services, staff used a scenario-based bidding approach and received one responsive and responsible bid from On Track Overhead Doors LLC of Yuma, Arizona.
Approval of this contract will enable the City to address maintenance needs quickly and at a reasonable cost, ensuring City facilities and infrastructure remain safe, secure, and well-maintained.
