SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION: Summary Recommendation
Approve an intergovernmental agreement with Yuma County on behalf of the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) for the use of the City of Yuma Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF). (Police/Support Services) (T. Garrity)

STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
This intergovernmental agreement supports the City Council’s Safe and Prosperous and Connected and Engaged Strategic Outcomes. The approved agreement will allow the YCSO to use the City of Yuma PSTF for training of their personnel.
REPORT:
The City of Yuma Public Safety Training Facility is utilized by the Yuma Police Department (YPD) and the YCSO for regular training. YPD and the YCSO have a cooperative working relationship, often collaborating in areas of law enforcement and public safety. The YCSO desires to use the City of Yuma Public Safety Training Facility for the training of sworn peace officers and other personnel.
By approving this resolution, City Council authorizes an intergovernmental agreement with Yuma County on behalf of the YCSO for use of the City of Yuma Public Safety Training Facility.
