STRATEGIC OUTCOME:

This ratification for the emergency project aligns with City Council’s strategic outcome of Safe and Prosperous by preventing vehicle damage, accidents and greater damage to the roadway and infrastructure by replacing broken sewer lines on Avenue C and 20th Street Intersection.

REPORT:

During a routine inspection conducted by the Utilities Wastewater Division, it was determined that the sewer line running west to east had deteriorated and was leaking into the adjacent infrastructure.

To mitigate further damage to the roadway, an emergency response was initiated to address the issue. The contractor successfully repaired the sewer line and restored the roadway by applying ABC material and AC paving.
