STRATEGIC OUTCOME:

This purchase supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of a Safe and Prosperous community by ensuring staff have dependable equipment to maintain essential infrastructure. The new dump truck will improve operational efficiency and support timely maintenance.

REPORT:

The existing 5-yard dump truck has exceeded its 15-year expected service life and will be replaced with a 2027 Peterbuilt Model 548 10-yard dump truck.

Once removed from active operation, the existing unit will be designated as a surplus asset and disposed of through either Public Surplus or the City Auction.
