STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
This item advances the City Council’s Safe and Prosperous strategic outcome by supporting safe and dependable lighting across City streets, neighborhoods, and public areas. It ensures the effective maintenance of the City’s street-lighting network and provides continued access to essential lighting components and electrical materials needed for reliable system operation.
REPORT:
The City maintains an extensive street-lighting network that includes roadway fixtures, residential and area lighting, photocontrol systems, wiring components, conduit fittings, electrical enclosures, and other essential hardware necessary for safe and reliable lighting throughout the City.
Maintaining this infrastructure requires a consistent and dependable supply of materials such as LED fixtures, photocontrols, fuse holders, connectors, drivers, enclosures, hardware, and installation accessories. The selected vendor will furnish materials and supplies required to support ongoing maintenance, repair, and replacement of street-lighting assets.
Two bidders responded to the solicitation. Yuma Winlectric was the overall lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
