Summary Recommendation
Authorize a one-year contract with the option to renew for up to four additional years, one year at a time, contingent on need and satisfactory performance, for Professional Real Estate Services with Realty Executives, McKelvey-Malouff Satellite, Yuma, Arizona. (Community Development-RFP-26-247) (Alyssa Linville/Robin R. Wilson)

STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
This item supports the City Council’s strategic outcome of Respected and Responsible by utilizing professional real estate services.
REPORT:
The City issued a request for proposals (RFP) seeking qualified, licensed real estate firms to provide various services, including marketing City-owned property in the Multiple Listing Service, providing signage on parcels for sale, providing broker price opinions within 72 hours of request, assisting with contracts and closings, negotiating with buyers, and performing customary transactions as needed. Compensation is set at 5% commission for sales of residential, commercial and raw land properties, with no additional expenses deducted from the sale proceeds.
Services also require consulting with City staff relating to marketing strategies and reporting efforts. Only one proposal was received; after evaluation by a committee using RFP criteria, staff recommend Realty Executives, McKelvey-Malouff Satellite (Associate Broker), for the contract.
A committee composed of City staff evaluated the sole real estate firm proposal received in response to the RFP. Applying the established evaluation criteria, the committee recommends Realty Executives, McKelvey-Malouff Satellite, Associate Broker, to provide real estate services for the City.
