STRATEGIC OUTCOME:
Upgrading the electrical switchboard at the Yuma Civic Center aligns with the City Council's strategic outcomes of Safe and Prosperous and Respected and Responsible by enhancing safety and reliability of the building’s electrical system.
REPORT:
The Yuma Civic Center's electrical switchboard requires replacement due to age, deterioration, and insufficient capacity to meet the building's current and future power demands. The new infrastructure will reduce the risk of electrical failures, ensuring uninterrupted service for community events, while also improving the system’s capacity and efficiency. Once completed, the new electrical switchboard will enhance safety, improve accessibility for maintenance, and ensure compliance with Arizona Public Service metering requirements.
