Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.
CALL TO ORDER
I. YUMA CROSSING NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA UPDATE
Cathy Douglas, Executive Director, will present a department update; followed by City
Council discussion.
II. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Presentation by Rodney Short, Deputy City Attorney, regarding State and Federal legislative
guiding principles, priorities, and strategies as well as status of proposed State and Federal
actions affecting City of Yuma.
III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF JANUARY 21, 2026
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).
IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving
legal advice for items included on the January 21, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting and the
January 20, 2026, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1,
3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items:
A. Discussion, consultation and/or direction to legal counsel regarding the following lawsuits:
• Martinez v. City of Yuma
• Quinn v. City of Yuma
• Deloney v. City of Yuma
