Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the  
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.  
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.  
CALL TO ORDER  
I. ONVIDA HEALTH - BUILDING A HEALTHIER TOMORROW  
Dr. Robert J. Trenschel, President and CEO of Onvida Health, and Jim Rounds, Rounds  
Consulting, will present on how investing in healthcare drives real economic impact; followed  
by City Council discussion.  
II. YUMA POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATE  
Thomas Garrity, Police Chief, will present a department update; followed by City Council  
discussion.  
III. QUARTERLY FINANCIAL BRIEFING  
Finance Director, Douglas Allen, will present information relating to the City's FY 2026  
financial status and outlook for FY 2027; followed by questions and/or discussion with City  
Council.  
IV. PROPOSED BUDGET OVERVIEW  
Acting City Administrator, Jay Simonton, and Finance Director, Douglas Allen, will provide  
an overview of the proposed FY 2027 Budget, including future City Council schedule and  
actions; followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council.  
V. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF MAY 6, 2026  
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting  
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is  
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk  
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).  
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION  
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving  
legal advice for items included on the May 6, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting and the May  
5, 2026, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or  
7) and the following items:  
A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to City Attorney regarding Proposed  
Yuma City Charter amendment. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A3 & A4)
