Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.
CALL TO ORDER
I. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Presentation by Rodney Short, Deputy City Attorney, regarding State and Federal legislative
guiding principles, priorities, and strategies as well as status of proposed State and Federal
actions affecting City of Yuma.
II. RECAP AND OVERVIEW OF THE 2026 CITY COUNCIL RETREAT
Jay Simonton, Acting City Administrator, will provide a high-level summary of key
takeaways, including major themes and identified priorities for future City Council
consideration.
III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF APRIL 15, 2026
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).
IV. EXECUTIVE SESSION
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving
legal advice for items included on the April 15, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting and the
April 14, 2026, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4
and/or 7) and the following items:
A. Discussion, consultation, and/or direction to City Attorney regarding the proposed
development of a parcel of real property. (A.R.S. § 38-431.03 A3, A4, & A7)
