Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the  
Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing.  
Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws.  
CALL TO ORDER  
I. VISIT YUMA ANNUAL PRESENTATION  
Marcus Carney, Executive Director, will provide Visit Yuma's annual update; followed by  
questions and/or discussion with City Council.  
II. PROPOSED BUDGET OVERVIEW  
Acting City Administrator, Jay Simonton, and Finance Director, Douglas Allen, will provide  
an overview of the proposed FY 2027 Budget, including future City Council schedule and  
actions; followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council.  
III. FY 2027 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM  
Sue Cowey, CIP Administrator, will present the proposed CIP for FY2027-FY2031; followed  
by questions and/or discussion with City Council.  
IV. LEGISLATIVE UPDATE  
Presentation by Rodney Short, Deputy City Attorney, regarding State and Federal legislative  
guiding principles, priorities, and strategies as well as status of proposed State and Federal  
actions affecting City of Yuma; followed by questions and/or discussion with City Council.  
V. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF MAY 20, 2026  
City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting  
agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is  
posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk  
and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov).  
VI. EXECUTIVE SESSION  
An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving  
legal advice for items included on the May 20, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting and the  
May 19, 2026, Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4  
and/or 7) and the following items:  
There are no additional executive session items scheduled at this time.
